Schedule



Check in will start at 8:30 A.M. The morning session will start at 8:50 A.M. and conclude at noon.

Lunch is noon to 1:00 P.M.

The afternoon session will start at 1:00 P.M. and end at 3:30 P.M.



Location



The morning program will be held in the Old Supreme Court Chambers on the second floor of the State Capital. The public entrances for the Capitol are the first floor level at the north entrance and the basement level at the south entrance. Take the elevator or the stairs to the second floor and go to the north end of the building.

Since the Old Supreme Court Chambers does have space limitations, only the first 200 registrants will be able to attend the morning session. In the event that registrations exceed that number the afternoon session will be held at the Pillar of Fire church, 1/2 block south of the Capitol on Sherman street. When registrations exceed 200 we will post that information on this website and alert all who have registered.

Speakers

David Barton from Wall Builders

David Barton is the Founder and President of WallBuilders, a national pro-family organization that presents America's forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on our moral, religious and constitutional heritage.

WallBuilders is a name taken from the Old Testament writings of Nehemiah, who led a grassroots movement to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem and restore its strength and honor. In the same way, WallBuilders seeks to energize the grassroots today to become involved in strengthening their communities, states, and nation.

David is the author of numerous best-selling books, with the subjects being drawn largely from his massive library of tens of thousands of original writings from the Founding Era. He also addresses well over 400 groups each year.

His exhaustive research has rendered him an expert in historical and constitutional issues and he serves as a consultant to state and federal legislators, has participated in several cases at the Supreme Court, was involved in the development of the History/Social Studies standards for states such as Texas and California, and has helped produce history textbooks now used in schools across the nation.

David was named by Time magazine as one of America's 25 most influential evangelicals, and he has received numerous national and international awards, including Who's Who in Education and DAR's highest award, the George Washington Honor Medal. His work in media has merited several Angel Awards, Telly Awards, and the Dove Foundation Seal of Approval.

David and his wife Cheryl have three grown children, Damaris, Timothy, and Stephen, and reside in Aledo, TX.


Dr. Gene Selander from Crystal Clear Ministries

A graduate of Denver and Fuller Theological Seminaries, Dr. Selander has pastored several churches in California and Colorado and has served as a chaplain for the Colorado House of Representatives since 2003. He and his wife, Carol, have been married for 32 years and have two adult children"Joseph and Rachel"who are both married and live in the Denver area. Carol is a licensed counselor and owns the North Cherry Counseling Center.


Tom Minnery is senior vice president of government and public policy for Focus on the Family and author of Why You Cant Stay Silent: A Biblical Mandate to Shape Our Culture.

Mike Johnson serves as Senior Legal Counsel for the Alliance Defense Fund, at its Regional Service Center located in Louisiana. ADF is a national legal alliance of more than 1,200 Christian attorneys defending religious liberty, traditional family values, and the sanctity of human life.

Mike has litigated and won high profile religious liberty cases nationwide, been a principal drafter of pro-life and pro-family legislation for many states and municipalities, and been interviewed and featured more than 1,000 times on radio and in national media outlets including: Fox News programs such as The OReilly Factor and Hannity & Colmes, CNN, ABC, CBS, MSNBC, TIME magazine, Citizen magazine, World magazine, and most major newspapers across the country. Mike regularly informs, engages and motivates radio audiences nationwide through ADFs Frontline Report initiative, and is the regular fill-in talk radio host for the award-winning Frank Pastore Show (KKLA-Los Angeles). Mike maintains a busy speaking schedule for ADF year round.

Mike is a trustee of the Ethics and Religious Liberty Commission of the Southern Baptist Convention; serves on the Commission on Marriage and Family in the administration of Louisiana Governor Bobby Jindal; is a founder and board member of La. Family Initiatives, Inc.; a board member of the National Council on Bible Curriculum in Public Schools; and serves on various other boards, ministries and organizations. He has provided legal representation for organizations such as Focus on the Family, the Family Research Council, Concerned Women for America, the American Family Association, Toward Tradition, Way of the Master and Coral Ridge Ministries.

Mike and his wife, Kelly, are the proud parents of three children, and were honored as recipients of the 2001 Champions for the Faith award by the Southern Baptist Convention for their work in promoting Covenant Marriage, religious liberty, and other pro-family initiatives. In recognition of his work in the courts defending traditional family values, he was awarded the 2005 Faith, Family & Freedom award by the Family Research Council in Washington, D.C., and the 2005 Family Gladiator award by the Louisiana Family Forum. He earned a B.S. in Bus. Admin. from LSU (95), and his J.D. from the LSU Law School (98).

Directions and Parking

From I-25 take Colfax, east to Lincoln Street.

From Colorado Blvd. take 14th Ave., west to Grant Street.

The address of the state capitol building is 200 E. Colfax.

Please note that you will need to pay for parking.
We suggest finding a parking space you can stay all day, so you dont have to pay more than once, and move your vehicle. Give yourself extra time to arrive for this event on time, sometimes parking is hard to find downtown.
